July 31 marks 7 years as the owner of Get Fit NH.
Over 40,000 coaching hours.
Over 4 million dollars in sales.
Countless lives changed — mine included.
To celebrate 7 years, here are 7 lessons I’ve learned running a business that’s way more than just owning a gym. This is my heart, my hustle, my second home.
1. Relationships first — always. When you lead with people, you’ll never have to “sell.” This is a people business. We get to walk alongside humans, becoming stronger, more confident, and healthier. That’s an honor I don’t take lightly. The conversations we’ve had in these walls are real, raw, emotional, and life-giving. It’s never just been about reps and sets.
2. Overdeliver. Our clients should never have to ask twice. The knowledge, the service, the care — it should be detailed, thoughtful, and personal. Every single time.
3. Build your dream team. Hire slow. Fire fast. Find people who match the energy and mission, not just the resume. The right people make the hard days easier and the great days even more impactful.
4. Don’t be afraid of change. Growth requires change. It’s uncomfortable sometimes, but you can’t evolve without it.
5. Pivot is possible. Shout out to 2020 for forcing innovation. The business we run today is stronger and more efficient because we were willing to adapt. Scarcity created clarity. That season sharpened us and shaped the experience we now proudly deliver.
6. Partnerships matter. I’ve never believed in competition in this space. Health and longevity are the goals, even if someone finds that outside of these four walls. We’ve collaborated with other gyms, coaches, therapists, dietitians, farms, chiropractors, you name it. If it adds value to our people, I’m in. Always.
7. Consistency always wins. No matter the goal - business, relationships, fat loss, or performance. Nothing beats showing up. Over and over and over again.
To every single client, coach, partner, and supporter — THANK YOU.
You’ve made the last 7 years of entrepreneurship and 13 years of coaching feel effortless and deeply fulfilling.
I love you all. Here’s to year 8
❤️ Meagan
